Its an epidemic. I was at a screening of Goblet of Fire recently which was preceeded by the trailer to "Hoodwinked" which was greeted with much applause and laughter. Much more than saaaaay the Over the Hedge trailer that played at the same screening.
All in all, during those previews there were 4 animated films being pushed. Happy feet, some mocap bs I've already forgotten, Hoodwinked and OTH. After that some random guy in the row in front of me turned to his friend and said "What's with all the goddam animated movies now?"
Something I'm sure we'd all like to know.
Yeah, I think there's going to be a lot of unhappy investors at the end of next year. I can hear them now: "But 'Finding Nemo' made $900 million! Why didn't *we*?!"
