Development Art For The Butter Battle Book Special

Here's some more artwork for those who have missed it. Have I written about my Butter Battle escapades yet? I'll have to go back into the archives and check.

I'm doing well! The house is a big mess due to the renovations, and construction people are around most of the day, so that's annoying. I'm working away on my mini-comic-story, and we're both happy and healthy!

How are you?

Ahh well just..I'm basically kinda fried. There were some family issues, friends needing help, friends being a b*tch, the profs at sheridan went on strike, and trying to help boyfriend with his project.

It was an interesting month to say the least. But now I'm really doing well:) I'm currently enjoying my homework before the strike. It's a "pretend" project--we pretend to make a feature anim with scripts, storyboard, workbook, layout and the works! Very intersting. The profs are still on strike but I'm doing this so that when they finish I can "be done".

Wow! Your trachers went on strike. A wage issue, I'm assuming?

The feature assignment sounds interesting, but odd to do with individual students, since you'll never really do that outside of school. It's good to get a 'big picture' take on a longer form, though!

Yeah I know it's weird. I want to do it as a "challenge" because I want to improve my board and layout drawings.

YES. Wage issue XP . Kinda sucks but ah well..

Good for you! Those are great talents to hone. I was not a good 'board artist at all when I was at CalArts. Ditto layout. Our classes on those things were shaky, but I truthfully wasn't all that interested in those things. Anything I know about them now, I learned primarily through work.

So how is the school funded? Tuitions fees? The government? I guess it's a moot point if the professors want a bigger slice of that pie.

Sorry to hear things have been rough for you lately.
