Tales Of Worm Paranoia

Eddie Fitzgerald's contribution to the What A Cartoon! days at Cartoon Network, when the studio was very open to pitches for animated shorts and series. He threw a pretty wild hat in the ring! Check it out.

Thanks to John K. for the tip-off!

In one of the forums a while back, Eddie Fitzgerald himself seemed to be dismissing this cartoon as incoherent and a failure, saying that when he screened it for everyone at Cartoon Network, it was received with a long, uncomfortable silence. I think it's fantastic in its own way... deeply unsettling, funny, and uncompromised. I'm glad people are getting to see it at all, but can you imagine what it'd be like on a GIANT SCREEN with stereophonic sound?

On a giant screen? The credits alone would make my head explode!

I like the "peaceful worm" set-up, but for me, the rest is less successful. There's plenty of funny drawings and animation, though!
