NECA Labyrinth Jareth Figure
According to Muppet Central, NECA is going to release a Jareth the Goblin King figure (in their Cult Classics Presents line) in March. Legend has it that generations of fourteen year old girls just adore renting DVDs of "The Dark Crystal" and of "Labyrinth", so the Henson Company is planning on revisiting those franchises in some way again. Don't know if this is a good idea but there's no stopping them, is there?
There's been a thin but steady stream of Dark Crystal and Labyrinth merchandise for the last five years or so, which would seem to indicate that the tweens dig 'em, and are voting with their Nightmare Before Christmas checkbooks.
I know that there's a Crystal sequel in the works, and one could view MirrorMask as an unofficial remake/sequel.
Money is tracked so carefully these days that it looks like no cult film will go without some kind of follow-up.
They also have released some "Labyrinth" illustrated books--'Return to Labyrinth' or something equally ridiculous!
Are those titles the manga that Karen Prell was talking about?
