Sometimes, Progress Is Good

The new Disney character costumes have articulated mouths and working eyelids - it certainly helps bring them to life! Check out these video clips from the Dream Along With Mickey show. I'd post the footage instead of a link, but YouTube isn't cooperating right now...

Looks good to me. Are these special stage show only heads or are they going to expand to walkarounds too?? This will definitely freak out the kids so I'm all for it!!

I have no idea. I'm assuming it won't expand to the walkaround characters because A) all the people that they'd hire from then on would have to sound like Mickey (or whoever); and B) it would make all of those costumes hideously expensive.

It works for pre-recorded stuff, but for walkarounds that spontaneously interect with the guests - that's a whole different thing.

in the 50's my dad worked with peter ellenshaw.. daddy (stan johnson) was the film editor for darby o'gill and the little people.. peter would come and visit us down in laguna and my dad kept telling him he ought to try to sell some of his paintings at the gallerys.. good advice ::)).. we built a house there and as house warming gifts peter gave us two paintings.. one was a small oil of darby going up to the ruins at night and the other was a large oil of the forest from light in the forest... my sister has the forest one and i kept the darby o'gill one.. do you think there is any value to this painting (it is about 12 by 20 and is not signed)...
