A New Star Wars Book!
On the face of it, this would hardly seem to merit its own post, but this looks to be the best one since they made the book about the Lucasfilm Archives. The book focuses soley on the first movie, and it looks like they're lavishing it with a higher level of anal-retentive detail that ever! I leafed through a friend's copy, and I'm still seeing photos and stuff that I've never seen before. That archive must be pretty deep!Anyway, you can buy it at Amazon for $44.99 + shipping. Nerds ahoy!

Saw this the other night at Barnes & Noble. Even with discounts, I just couldn't bring myself to pay the thity odd bucks for the paperback version. Maybe later when it goes on clearance...
Yeah, I bought the hardcover. I'm sure there'll be an Extra Special Deluxe Edition later, so hopefully I won't regret it!
Pre-ordered the hardcover from Amazon way back when, and it's definitely worth the price... like you, there's stuff in there I've *never* laid eyes on before, like all the physical Threepio head mockups they made, or the fullsize McQuarrie Artoo prototype...
I got my copy in the mail yesterday. I don't regret it one bit! It looks awesome.
I just got the hardback yesterday and it's amazing! One of the best books ever printed on Star Wars!
