Live-Action Tintin Films
Turns out there's a French (Belgian?) Tintin film from 1961, Tintin et le Mystère de la Toison d'Or (the picture is the novelization cover). There's another one made in 1964 called Tintin et les Oranges Bleues with a different cast. They're on DVD and everything!Labels: comics to film, herge, tintin, tintin et le mystere de la toison d'or, tintin et les oranges bleues

How does it compare to the Awsomeness of the Asterx movie we saw?? OH NO!!!!
I'd like to find out. Maybe I'll pick it up from amazon.fr at some point!
Regardless, it doesn't have Depardieu in a diaper, so how good could it be?
Look at the photo realism! The fibers of their clothing, the pores of their skin and each indiv... oh wait.
Maybe they can just tape black dots over people's eyes and shoot it live action.
Sorry... I guess I just don't get it.
How cool would it be if they did it in 2D?! THAT'S what I'd like to see. I saw Victor Navone's post about some 2D stuff at Disney. If they put some of that energy into THIS it could be amazing.
I'm going to have to check netflix for these movies.
Yeah, I know. It's like someone going around the world to get to the other side of the street.
Do they have non-region-1 films on Netflix? I'm assuming not, but let me know if they do.
No, you're right. I searched Tintin and got a ton of results that included Rin Tin Tin and Clash of the Titans. BUT we've got and amazing rental place out here called Scarecrow video. Check out all the results I got searching Tintin there:
