Vinyl Sample Is Here - And More!
The vinyl sample of the beaver toy arrived today, and it looks great! But the best part is...
It's hard to see in this picture, but all of the paint passes were done by hand on the sample. They'll be sprayed on through stencils on the production pieces. A copyright notice'll be printed on the figure as well. I almost forgot about that!
The vinyl sample doesn't stand up at all, but the tail angle was tweaked on the painted version, and it balances. Phew!
All I have to do now is finish up the box art, and it's in production! Woo hoo!
... I'm so excited!!

holy smokes! that looks super. You must have been pumped when you opened that particular box. Wait till you get the finals!
have you hooked up with any indie toy-distributors or will you just sell it yourself to local stores?
YES!!! It looks just great! Can't wait to get one.
Did you ever tweak the box design?
Whatever dude, like it matters... you have a TOY!
AWESOME!
You're right! I'm super excited!
Super 7 recommends that I try to sell as many as I can myself in order to maximize my profits.
That being said, I'm going to sell some online, some at Comic-Con, some at work, and some through Super 7's distributor (they're being really nice and hooking me up).
I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to sell all of them by combining all of those methods.
Looks Great Jeff!
Very exciting.
nice!
Finally found your blog, Jeff. Sweet! I like the colors. What are you naming this cutie? Congratulations on the marriage, by the way! Wishing you

-- from an old Welsh blessing.
I can only imagine the nightmare of you selling a toy that doesn't stand up all that well -- especially since that seems to be one of your major pet peeves.
I'm glad that was easily solved and someone was looking out for you on the copyright issue.
It looks fantastic and I can't wait to see it in person and obtain one once you've got the production versions in your hand.
Congrats and job well done!
How's the box design coming and where'd you settle on your price point?
I'm proud of you boy. It looks @*%#ing awesome! Two words Jeff...BOX ART!!!
I'm workin' on it! I got the box template the day before yesterday!
I love it! 'Tis a thing of beauty!
It's awesome!!!
