New Display Cabinet

This sale couldn't have come at a better time - I was in dire need of more toy display space, and this cabinet comes along. It's got twice the visibility for half the price of my other cabinets (and almost as much volume)! I'll get a shot of it filled up in a day or two.

Yes, but where did said cabinet come from? I could use one like that, especially if they do mail order... :)

KCC Modern Living, in Berkeley. They had a moving sale, so it was about $1K, as opposed to its regular price of $2400.

Their website is http://www.kccmodernliving.com/

That's very cool--congrats on snagging it and thanks for divulging the source, too. : )

You know what I really wish I could find? One of those boutique store display cabinets--preferably an older one with some wood frame in addition to the glass. They're usually a little under chest high...you know the kind I;'m sure. Long glass shelves, clear glass or wood painted back. Very hard to find!

Yeah, it's hard to find display cabinets in general - new or used - that don't look awful. Most of the store-fixture-types that I see for sale are expensive and unattractive.

Yes, that's true--you can find the standard display cases one sees at antique malls and shows, but--blecch! So industrially ugly!!

I've actually seen the exact sort of thing I want a couple of times-one was a steal(the attractive ones are always vintage btw-at least 60 years old or more)--but always, always they've already been snagged and have a SOLD sticker when I stumble across them. One of these days...

For a new item these shelves of yours are very nice indeed.
