Toys, by Grant Munro
Here's a National Film Board of Canada short from 1966. Other than contrasting the innocence of playthings and adult battle imagery, I'm not sure what the message is here. Is it, "Children don't like the adult tendency toward war", or "We shouldn't pass our warlike impulses down to our children though toys", or is it, "This is what war toys really represent"? I'm not sure. Maybe it was primarily an exploration of montage. Thanks for A/V Geeks for the film!
