Toy OTD: Medicom Vinyl Collectible Dolls: Stitch
Like most of the other VCD figures, it's not horribly expensive - you can get it for $33.28 + shipping at hlj.com. I hope Medicom makes a Lilo figure to go with it at some point! The bounty hunters'd be awesome, too...

Yes, this IS fantastic.
I wonder what Chris thinks of it...I'd have to imagine he likes it but he's a super-perfectionist so I'd love to hear his thoughts. He's planning more sculpts himself btw--maybe resin next time(which as it turns out is much cheaper to produce than vinyl, so he says!).
And, not to forget--Happy B got here yesterday! He's just tops! Even better in person!
I love his size--"shelf pig", heh--that one's new to me but it certainly does fit some of the large figures--not the Beav!
I'll have to get to picture-taking straightaway. Thanks, Jeff!
Wow - Really nice looking sculpt! Lilo would be an awesome addition.
Jenny, re: Chris Sanders, vis-a-vis Stitch toy:
It would be interesting to get Chris' reaction - maybe I'll email Chris and see what he thinks. Or you can probably just walk down the hall and ask him, now that I think about it. Is he there regularly now?
Also, I'm glad the toy got there so quickly! If you could, I'd love an outdoor pic somewhere iconic in LA - Grauman's, maybe? Whatever you have time to do.
Thanks for buying!
I will get on the photoshoot beat this weekend! You & I are of one mind on settings. : )
Chris is down the hall, and he loves talking toys! it turns out we both have a few of the "nudist scamps" 1040s figurines(I'm about to post a couple on my Flickr site)--he's the only other person apart from Dan Goodsell who knows them--figures! They're very Fred Moore-like--so much so that I wondered if there was some connections there.
But yes, he's there every day, very busy with his film. There are boards he's done that I've seen and it's literally a visceral pleasure to look at those drawings. I haven't seen that much of his work 'in person' since the Lion King preproduction days when we were on our Calarts tour(I knew who he was then as his "Electric Breakfast" was one of my favorite student films).
But you should email him!
Wow... I'm a big fan of Stitch, been collecting Stitch stuffs.. only 1 collection that I cud get in Sydney which was in disney store (before they closed down). Stitch isnt really that popular in oz, had to buy other collections mostly in asia or hk disneyland.
