Here's hoping the increased location will lead to an overnight and immediate increase in sales so that you can press forward with the variations

Thanks! I'm currently considering an entirely new design. My thought is that it might be good to build up a small stable of three or four characters, then start going for variants.

four ... four is generally a good number ... think Ralph/Alice/Norton/Trixie, Lucy/Ricky/Fred/Ethel, or Jerry/Kramer/Elaine and George -- there's something about the energy and comic possibilities with four core characters.
