I was all set to order the whole set of these, but I've read online that some of the episodes are cut or missing- do you have season 1&2 already Jeff? Are they altered in anyway?

BTW - hi! I finally climbed out from underneath a gigantic pile of work and am now rejoining the living ^_~

Hi, everybody - I have both season one and two, but I have heard that things were changed or dropped from these box sets.

As you might guess, the reason is money - most of the contracts for the musical numbers were handshake deals, made long before home video was really an issue. So some things have been cut because the costs to include them were too high.

I'm buying them anyway, mainly because I want the sales on the sets to be good enough to merit releasing as much of the six seasons of the show as possible. Incomplete seasons are better than nothing (and as we all know, that leaves the door open for this material to be added in later "special editions"). Plus, healthy DVD sales might also be a good incentive for other, new Muppet projects to happen!

If you want to learn about what's added/missing from the first two DVD boxes, check out these links:

Hope that's helpful!

Hi, Heather! Glad you're back! :)
