More Of My Stuff On eBay
I'm selling the Bowen Captain America statue because there's a new one out that I like more. The pinstriped "Happy Beavers" were always intended as auction premiums, and the MTV Fauna figure (pictured) was part of a three-piece set - it's my least favorite of the three, and I'd always intended to sell it to help defer the high cost.
You've got ten days, so bid and bid high! Help support my collecting and toymaking habits!
UPDATE (12:16 AM): Wow! The Captain America statue got snapped up immediately. I guess I should've charged more...
UPDATE: (1/10): I've posted a new item since the Cap statue went so fast. A Roger Rabbit vinyl figure (we had two of them)! I know a lot of people hate this movie, but it's an amazing sculpt!

That new Cap statue is definitely more in line with Kirby's drawings of the character.
Some Bowen goodies go real quick. The Hellboy statue would be the Holy Grail of Hellboy collectibles for me (besides owning an original drawing but I can't justify paying the $1000 Ebay rate) however they always go for around $500 which is a little too much for my wallet.
I didn't mind the Bowen version looking more like the Romita Cap, but once I saw the new one, it was all over. Great pose, and looking more like a Kirby drawing than I've ever seen! Nice.
As far as Hellboy stuff goes, I'm happy with the big Mezco figure, and Eric So's vinyl interpretation. I got the Dark Horse figurine, too!
I think the statue that I went the furthest to get was the Dark Knight Returns maquette, which I should've bought much earlier than I did:

Sadly, it seems to be going for a lot less money now.
I think you could get a great Hellboy original for under a grand. Mr. Mignola has a table at Comic-con every year, and I bought one from him directly for $600.
Oh believe me I'd love to go to the San Diego Comic Con to get a convention sketch from Mike. I was very excited when he came to the Comic Expo in Toronto in 06 but he didn't bring any art with him (very sad). It was nice to talk to the guy at the seminar and the signing afterwards, he even drew a quick Hellboy head sketch in my Art of Hellboy book which was awful nice because he stated to the seminar audience that he may not have the time to do so depending on lineups.
