Taters Of The Lost Ark

You knew this was coming. Sadly, I'll probably buy it. I couldn't find the Luke, Han or Boba Fett Potato Heads during my recent visit to Florida, but I've spotted them online, so I'm pondering them as well. I'm not a healthy person. Who would've thought a few well-executed genre pastiches could provoke such insanity over twenty-five years later? Not me!

And, for this, you're selling your MTV Fauna figurine ...?

I jest ...

I thought Santa, the Easter Bunny and Ghost variations of Mr. Potato Head were pushing it ... and then all the Disney pieces came along (mouse ears, princess hats, mickey shaped ice-cream bars, the Astro Blaster gun from the Buzz Lightyear ride, etc.,) ... then Darth Tater and the Star Wars gang, Spiderman Mr. Potato and the Transformer Potato Head.

When will such madness end?

I really didn't think you could squeeze so much juice from a potato ...

I don't think it's going to end anytime soon - there's parts for Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Incredible Potato Heads at Orlando's Downtown Disney.

Unfortunately, they only made custom feet, bodies, and arms. There's no cowl or helmet for Buzz, or hairdo for Mr. Incredible. So I didn't wind up getting either of them.

It seems pretty odd to have Toy Story Potato Head characters, anyway - it's like a bizarre licensing moebius strip.
