Oh, there are still plenty of films out there waiting for their remake chances.
Let's see, shall we?
Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, You Light Up My Life, Heartbeeps, Ice Castles, The Beastmaster, Krull, Ice Pirates, Convoy, Neighbors, Night of the Comet...
Okay, I think I can stop now.
Stop, stop, stop ... you're giving the suits in Hollywood way too many ideas -- it doesn't even matter if the original source material was good or not.
Of course, this one makes sense because the filmmakers are going to try to tap the success of "Wall*E," and come out with a film 12 to 18 months later.
Andrew Stanton already has faced a few questions about "Johnny 5," politely dismissing "Short Circuit" as having any bearing on the story or design of "Wall*E."
At WonderCon, he said the design was an outgrowth of Luxo Jr. and came to him as he was playing with a pair of binoculars at a S.F. Giants' game
I see smurfette coming.
