Scratching my head and thinking "is this why I purchased a Sony Blu-Ray player?"

Actually, I enjoy the campiness of the Batman movie and TV series, but I'm pretty sure I own the movie on standard DVD or VHS ...

I don't know whether I'll pick this one up (certainly not at $40), but I might rent the Blu-Ray release to check out the extras.

There's a slew of good and interesting films out there or coming soon to Blu-Ray. I'm certainly waiting for "Finding Nemo" (can it look any better?) and "Sleeping Beauty" (one of Sue's favorites) is a MUST from what I'm hearing.

I don't know if I'll be buying many Blu-Ray titles anytime soon - I'm starting to realize that I don't have a lot of time to watch films over and over like I used to. I'm just starting to pare down my standard DVD collection, because I have WAY more films than I need.

When I do go there, I'll probably get the Pixar films, not to mention Lawrence of Arabia, Blade Runner, Close Encounters, 2001... films that I think will really benefit from the format.

So far, though, most folks seem to agree that getting a PS3 is your best bet for a really good B-R player... and they're still $400. So... probably not real soon for me!

I have "Close Encounters" on Blu-Ray along with about 15 or so other titles (including "20 Million Miles to Earth," "The Searchers" and BBC's "Planet Earth" series).

When you adopt the format -- (Disney's hoping "Sleeping Beauty" will be the must-have title to boost sales of Blu-Ray players), I'll get you a list of my Blu-Ray library and loan them out to you, Roger and a few other people I know and trust.

Batman the Movie is all well and good, but I want to know when someone's going to release the complete TV series!

I'm torn on whether or not to begin a Blue Ray collection. Buying films from Itunes is pretty handy, too. Blue Ray is a pretty big investment right now, although you do get that amazing quality.

It may be a while longer. As I understand it, the series is caught up in a big legal tangle due to music, and all those guest stars.

I know what you mean. I'm assuming there's a way to hook one's iPod up to a TV, right? I wouldn't want to watch every movie (or almost any, really) on a computer screen.

Batman: The Movie--IMHO the greatest Cape Crusader flick of 'em all!!!

Exploding octopuses, gnarling rubber sharks, flying umbrellas, dehydrated thugs--this movie has it all.

The extras seem to be the same batch from the older DVD release.
